A big THANKS!
A huge thanks to the people of both Edmonton & Calgary for checking out the Cloud+Lolly booths this past weekend. Despite the horrible weather (snow, sleet, rain and just plain cold) there were great turnouts at Make It!, Lilac Festival and the Old Strathcona Farmers Market.
Mark your calendars for the Make It! Events in Edmonton & Calgary this November.

101 New Uses for Everyday Things (part 2)
10 New Uses for Coffee Filters
About 100 years ago, a German housewife named Melitta Bentz punctured the bottom of a brass pot, lined it with blotting paper, and — voilà! — made the first coffee filter. Almost a century later, a perfected version of Bentz’s design is still used.
Use Coffee Filters to:
1. Diffuse the flash on a camera. When you’re taking a close-up, soften the brightness by...

He’s Dying - But He Looks Fabulous!
Pet Groomer | Calgary, Alberta, Canada
Customer: *calling on the phone* “Hello, I’d like to make an appointment with the groomer. My dog won’t get up and walk around, and every time I touch his leg, he whimpers. I think it may be broken.”
Me: “Well, ma’am, I don’t think the groomer is the best place to take an animal with a broken leg. Your best bet would be to call a vet, and have them look at...
Wall art.
Not much art has caught my eye on Etsy.
That changed today. Tuscany. Lively colours. I’d like a triptych set for the livingroom!
Postcards.
I’m going to design birthday postcards to mail for friends & family for 2009. I’ll use colours from colourlovers.com and typography. I’m thinking big and extra bold.
New wall decor.
New wall art! 3 wooden Ikea frames + 3 images from a Strathmore paper sample book.
Mouse in the garbage.
So our receptionist comes running upstairs “There’s something in my garbage rustling around!”
Mark and Joanne go running downstairs to see what it is. Mark yells up, “No mouse, it’s just the heat register making the noise.”
Not a second later we hear a scream, and sure enough… there’s a mouse bouncing around the bag! (insert laughing)
For Jenn.
